Nigeria's soldiers threatens innocent Biafra

Image
I was travelling to Awka from Enugu on Sunday when out journey got impeded by the murderous zoo soldiers towards Orji-River/Ezeago. All of us were ordered to exit the bus for no reason. We did as we were instructed and the soldiers rummaged the bus searching for what I didn't know. After the search in the bus, they ordered each of us to open our bags and turn it upside down for them to search the bags as well. Before I knew what was happening, one of the Soldiers smashed something similar to a truncheon on my head and when I demanded to know why, I got a sound slap on my chin. I was still aghast and in awe, nursing the pain when a guy tapped me. "Remove that earpiece you are putting on and listen to them properly" said the guy. He was an Oko Polytechnic student going back to school after a successful visit to his parents residing in Enugu. "But I have one ear free. So I can't even put on an earpiece because of soldiers?" I whispered to myself. Imme...

Ravens

Image
According to Norse mythology, the god Odin has two ravens that fly all over Midgard to gather information. Their names are Huginn and Muninn, the Old Norse words for “thought” and “memory.” The ancient storytellers who bestowed these names on the birds were onto something: A new study finds that ravens can flexibly plan for events outside their present sensory awareness, a cognitive skill once considered exclusive to humans and other great apes. This research does more than just reveal that the raven is smarter than we thought, that apes’ intellectual abilities are less unique than we thought, and that a mammalian lineage is a not a prerequisite for complex thinking. It also adds to the growing body of evidence that intelligence has evolved more than once. “It’s pretty amazing in that it works, functionally at least, in a similar way in ravens as in apes, and you don’t see it in many other animals,” says Mathias Osvath, a cognitive zoologist at Lund University in Sweden. “Like m...

Obasanjo said that he want to go to heaven.

Former President Olusegun Obansanjo on Saturday at Apostolic Faith Church said he wants to go heaven and longs to sing among the heavenly host. during the 2017 Camp Meeting Concert by Apostolic Faith Church Choir and Orchestral at the Camp Ground Igbesa in Ogun State. He said, “You have to be fully prepared for the second coming of our Lord, there is no compromise. “I have a friend who will always say that when we get to heaven, we will be exhausted  praising God and it will be like a prison and very boring. “But with what I have seen by the choir this afternoon, I will want to go to heaven and join the host to sing.

Kylie Jenner's make-up brand could be worth $1bn

She may be only 20, but Kylie Jenner may soon have a beauty business worth more than a billion dollars. For the first time, the youngest Kardashian-Jenner has revealed how much money her Kylie Cosmetics brand makes. In an interview with WWD, Kylie and her mum Kris Jenner revealed she's made $420m (£323m) in retail sales in 18 months. Her cosmetics brand has outsold established companies like Bobbi Brown and Lancome. It's the first time Kylie has discussed financial details about her business. Kylie Jenner accused of copying campaign Kylie v Kylie: The story of a trademark battle Her range of lipsticks, highlighters and eye shadow palettes have outsold Tom Ford Beauty, which was one of the fastest-selling beauty brands of all time, making $500m (£385m) in sales in 10 years. Other more established names, Bobbi Brown and Lancome, took 25 and 80 years to reach the billion dollar mark, yet Kylie is set to do it in just five years. Could 'solar roads' help generate electricity?

Image
Could 'solar roads' help generate electricity? A stretch of road in France has been paved with solar PV (photovoltaic) panels as part of a government-backed initiative for renewable electricity generation. It is estimated that even busy roads can “see” the sky 70-90% of the time. The solar PV panels are coated in crushed glass and resin to make them more durable. But the cost of making the almost half a mile of “Wattway” was an estimated four to six times as much as covering the area with conventional solar panels. The company aims to significantly reduce the cost in the future. So imagine  other countries paving their road with solar panels making progress and improving life, but here in Nigeria no electricity no good roads talk more of paving roads with solar panels, the only thing that they are good in is money laundering. I don't know what to say again, my only prayer is for Biafra, a state that will be free from corruption.  God bless Biafra!!!  ...

Anambra church shooting: Catholic Church reacts as CP rules out terror attack The Catholic Diocese of Nnewi, Anambra, has described Sunday’s attack on worshippers at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Ozubulu, by a gunman as regrettable. The church, in a statement signed by Rev. Hygi Aghaulor, Director of Communications of the Diocese, and available to newsmen, said that the Parish Priest, Rev Fr. Jude Onwuaso escaped unhurt. He described the act as a sign of loss of what is sacred and consoled the families of victims of the attack. “It is regrettable that our people are more and more losing a sense of what is sacred. “What on earth would make people open fire on innocent unarmed worshippers including children and women on a Sunday morning? “We condemn this ungodly act in its totality; we pray Almighty God to console the families affected and assure them that our hearts are with them as we pray for the quick recovery of the wounded. “For the entire parishioners, we call...
